Recent Contract Awards:

January 2010: JD White & Associates, Inc. recently began work on a major project for a small non-profit organization located in Washington, DC. JD White & Associates, Inc. will serve as the project manager under a subcontract to The Millennium Group International LLC, which has overall responsibility for the project.

The assignment will involve a complete review of the organization's compensation and benefits program. Specific tasks will include: interviewing executive management and Board of Directors members, conducting a comprehensive marketplace compensation analysis, creating a revised system of grading positions, assessing the competitiveness of the organization’s employee benefits and bonus programs, and presenting recommendations to the Board.

November 2009: JD White & Associates, Inc. recently received a contract award from Envision EMI, based in Vienna, VA. Envision wishes to ensure that its compensation program (both salaries and bonuses) is competitive with the Washington, DC metropolitan area labor market. JD White & Associates, Inc. will conduct a market salary and bonus review, revise salary ranges, slot each employee in the correct range, and develop recommendations for competitive bonus allocations. This will help Envision attract and retain the talent it needs for future growth and success.

September 2009: JD White & Associates, Inc. recently received a contract award from a biotech firm that provides products and services to support the safe and efficient management of, among other things, clinical trials, clinical surveys, and laboratory studies. This project will have two major components.

First, the organization wishes to ensure that its executive compensation and benefits program is competitive with similar organizations to ensure it can attract and retain the talent it needs. JD White & Associates, Inc. will conduct a comprehensive market review and provide recommendations.

Second, the organization is also interested in establishing an executive retention and succession planning program to ensure that future leaders are identified and developed so they can assume senior roles in the company. JD White & Associates, Inc. will work directly with the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors to identify best practices in executive retention and succession planning, and help the organization develop a blueprint for going forward.

June 2009: JD White & Associates, Inc. recently received a contract award from the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) to assist in a “peer review” and “upward review” performance evaluation process for its senior staff.  Each senior staff member will be evaluated both by their peers as well as their own staffs.  JD White & Associates, Inc. will receive the evaluations, consolidate the results, capture the most important comments, communicate the results to each senior staff member, and provide coaching advice as requested.

May 2009:  JD White & Associates, Inc. recently received a contract award from a large government contractor to assist in a job classification and training project.  The organization is re-doing its classification system to ensure more clarity regarding the typical job tasks performed at each level in the career ladder, and the competencies and qualifications required to perform at each level.  JD White & Associates, Inc. will assist in creating the language needed to convey the differences among these levels.   JD White & Associates, Inc. will also assist in the development and delivery of a training module for HR managers so that they fully understand the issues prior to the organizational wide implementation.

March 2009: JD White & Associates, Inc. recently received a contract award from STR LLC, a government contractor located in Fairfax, VA. STR is for the first time opening offices outside the Washington DC area, and wishes to ensure it has a salary structure in place that accurately reflects geographic cost of labor differences. JD White & Associates, Inc. will also conduct a review to ensure the total cash compensation for STR's senior executives is competitive.

January 2009:  JD White & Associates, Inc. recently began work on a project for Youth for Understanding (YFU).  JD White & Associates, Inc. will assist the International Secretariat of YFU in creating an Employee Handbook.  This will include an overall review of current policies and procedures, and integrating all information into a comprehensive and easy to read Employee Handbook.

December 2008:  JD White & Associates, Inc. recently began work on a project for the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO).  JD White & Associates, Inc. will assist BIO select a vendor to provide management training to all of BIO’s managers.  JD White & Associates, Inc. will write the Request for Proposal, send to selected vendors, evaluate the proposals received, and work with BIO to select a vendor to provide the training.

November 2008:  JD White & Associates, Inc. recently began work on a major project for Sevatec, Inc.  JD White & Associates, Inc. will serve as the project manager under a subcontract to The Millennium Group International LLC, which has overall responsibility for the project.

The assignment will involve the creation of a new compensation and career development program for the organization.  The new system will allow Sevatec to continue to recruit and retain talented individuals to support company growth.  A new career ladder will be developed to support professional advancement, and new salary ranges will be developed to ensure competitive compensation levels.

October 2008: JD White & Associates, Inc. recently began work on a project for Public Utilities Reports, Inc. (PUR). JD White & Associates, Inc. will assist PUR in updating its Employee Handbook. This will include an overall review of the handbook's current content and organization, as well as the inclusion of several revised policies. This review will bring the handbook completely up to date and a copy will be distributed to all employees.

April 2008: JD White & Associates, Inc. recently received a contract award from CACI, Inc. to develop job matrices for all organizational positions. These matrices will provide a summary of job duties along with the education, experience, knowledge and skills required for that job. CACI plans to post these matrices on its intranet so that employees can explore internal job openings as part of their career development plans.

January 2008: JD White & Associates, Inc. recently received a contract award from the Northern Virginia Daily Newspaper to conduct a review of its employee benefits program. We will conduct a competitive analysis of the benefits program and provide recommendations to ensure the program continues to meet the needs of both the employees and the organization.

September 2007: JD White & Associates, Inc. recently received a contract award from STR LLC, a government contractor located in Fairfax, VA. STR wishes to ensure that its compensation and benefits program is competitive with similar organizations to help attract and retain the talent it needs.JD White & Associates, Inc. will conduct a competitive marketplace analysis of all aspects of STR's "total compensation" program: salary, employee benefits, and bonuses. We will also help STR to define its compensation philosophy to ensure all elements are achieving the intended objectives.

July 2007: JD White & Associates, Inc. recently began work on a project for The Adams National Bank. We will serve as the project manager under a subcontract to The Millennium Group International LLC, which has overall responsibility for the project.The assignment will involve a review of the executive compensation program. Specific tasks will include: interviewing executives, conducting a comprehensive marketplace compensation analysis, providing recommendations and communicating the results.

May 2007: JD White & Associates, Inc. recently received a contract award from the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation to revise its Employee Handbook. The assignment will include a significant reorganization and revision of the Handbook, as well as the production of a new Handbook for a subsidairy organization.

February 2007: JD White & Associates, Inc. recently received a contract award from the Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) to perform a number of actions aimed at strengthening the career path system of the organization. Specifically, JD White & Associates, Inc. will interview employees and managers to determine the strengths and weaknesses of the current program, and help ASCD design a new program that is fair, realistic, and that will facilitate effective career progression discussions throughout the organization.

December 2006:  JD White & Associates, Inc. recently began work on a major project for the American Psychiatric Association (APA).  JD White & Associates, Inc. will serve as the project manager under a subcontract to The Millennium Group International LLC, which has overall responsibility for the project.

The assignment will involve a complete review of APA’s compensation and job classification program.  Specific tasks will include:  interviewing management, revising all job descriptions, creating a new point factor job evaluation program, conducting a comprehensive marketplace compensation analysis, creating a new system of grading positions, communicating the results, and training the management team.

October 2006: JD White & Associates, Inc. recently received a contract award from Chenega Technology Services Corporation (CTSC) to conduct a complete review of its current recruiting process. JD White & Associates, Inc. will team with Cluff & Associates, Inc. on this project.  Tasks will include:  interviewing management and HR staff, reviewing current sourcing strategies, evaluating job titles and responsibilities for recruiting staff, reviewing the functionalities and usage of the current recruiting system, and designing a revised recruiting process consistent with best practices in the field.

July 2006: JD White & Associates, Inc. recently received a contract award from the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) to conduct a complete review of its current performance evaluation program. JD White & Associates, Inc. will interview executives, conduct focus groups with employees, and design and implement a completely revised performance evaluation system consistent with best practices in the field. This will include an in-depth training session for all managers.

April 2006: JD White & Associates, Inc. recently received a contract award from the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) to perform a number of actions aimed at strengthening the performance management system of the organization. Specifically, JD White & Associates, Inc. will work individually with several senior managers to enhance their performance coaching skills, and will also develop a new organization-wide annual performance evaluation process.

December 2005: JD White & Associates, Inc. recently received a contract award from the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation to assist in the evaluation of the organization's current structure, its internal processes, and its employee related programs. The Foundation has been growing rapidly and wishes to ensure that its future growth is built on effective organizational principles. These principles include: having an organizational structure that makes sense and which has clearly defined roles; developing internal processes that are efficient and which foster productivity; and creating employee related programs that provide competitive and fair rewards, and which help the organization attract and retain the talent it needs.

November 2005: JD White & Associates, Inc. recently received a contract award from Fairfax County, Virginia to assist the county evaluate and revise a number of its compensation structures. This assignment will include a review of marketplace data, the development of several options, and a specific list of recommendations for implementation.

May 2005: JD White & Associates, Inc. recently received a contract award from an agency of the US government to facilitate several sessions with senior management to address a number of critical organizational issues. These sessions will focus on ways to develop a strong senior management team as well as assist in the strategic planning process for the organization.

March 2005: JD White & Associates, Inc. recently received a contract award from QSMI, a government contractor located in Annandale, VA. QSMI's work with the US government involves tasks of a highly techncial nature, and the competition for talent is significant. QSMI wishes to evaluate whether its compensation and benefits program is competitive with similar organizations to ensure it can attract and retain the talent it needs. JD White & Associates, Inc. will conduct a competitive marketplace analysis of all aspects of QSMI's "total compensation" program: salary, employee benefits, and bonuses. We will also help QSMI define its compensation philosophy to ensure all the elements of its program are achieving the intended objectives.

January 2005: JD White & Associates, Inc. recently received a contract award from Perot Systems Government Services (PSGS) to conduct a systematic review of its human resources processes. The goal of this project is to identify inefficiencies in the current processes, as well as to determine if the organization is leveraging its current human resources information system to its maximum potential.

JD White & Associates, Inc. will team with Application Outfitters on this project. Application Outfitters is an information technology consulting firm that focuses on helping organizations successfully implement, enhance, and efficiently utilize their business information systems.

September 2004: JD White & Associates, Inc. received a contract award from BCS, Incorporated, a Columbia, MD based consulting firm that has experienced rapid growth. The company will initially help BCS develop a mission, values, and vision statement. When that part of the assignment is completed, the company will interview all employees and develop job descriptions and competency profiles for all jobs. Then it will begin a process of reviewing aspects of BCS's human resources program. This review may include: recruiting, new hire orientation, compensation, benefits, performance evaluation, training, and career development. The company will provide data and recommendations to help BCS develop a human resources program to support continued company growth.
