Arleen LaBella, President
Arleen LaBella, co-founder of Professional Resources, Inc., has more than 20 years experience as a seminar leader, an organization development consultant, and author. She specializes in building effective teams, customer service skills, gender and diversity issues in the workplace, communication and facilitation skills, management development, and strategic and future planning. She frequently serves as a third party problem solver in conflict situations and as an executive coach to team leaders and senior management.
Dr. LaBella is co-author of three publications, Personal Power, A Practical Guide to Working With Diversity, and Honoring Boundaries: Preventing Sexual Harassment in the Workplace. In addition, she has written extensively on diversity, collaboration, and self-management skills.
She received her master's degree from the University of Buffalo and her doctorate in Applied Behavioral Sciences from the University of Massachusetts. She is certified in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and Drexler Sibbett Team Performance Inventory and is a graduate in the Organization Development Certificate Program at Georgetown University.
T.J. Ettinger, Inc.
Thomas Ettinger, President
Tom Ettinger has more than thirty years experience in human resources management and consulting. His consulting practice has an extensive customer base providing services that address a wide range of management issues with a special focus on compensation, organizational development and systems.
Prior to starting his own business, Mr. Ettinger was Vice President, Human Resources for the Martin Marietta Corporation, where he was accountable for the human resources and security functions for a vertically integrated international producer of advanced commercial and government communication and information systems. He was responsible for ensuring that the sector's strategic and operating objectives were supported through the effective implementation of staffing, employee and labor relations, organizational development, internal and external training, communications, safety and health, benefits, affirmative action and diversity, and security including special access programs.
In a prior assignment with Martin Marietta as the Corporate Director, Compensation and Benefits Planning, Tom was accountable for corporate-wide compensation policy and programs, executive compenation plan development and administration, and board and industry related issues.
His prior business experience includes senior human resource assignments for Johns Hopkins Medical Institution and AIL Systems, a subsidiary of Eaton, Inc.
He obtained his BA from Adelphi University and MBA from Hofstra University. Mr. Ettinger is a board member for Walker Chapel, the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce, and the Washington Human Resource Forum, and is active in other community and professional organizations. He and his wife Gladys reside in McLean, Virginia.

Michael Strand, President
Michael Strand, SPHR, has over 25 years of Human Resources experience at the executive level. He has worked for numerous not-for-profit and for-profit organizations and has extensive compensation, employee relations, and employee benefit administration experience.
Mike served as
the HR Director of four organizations (1977 to 1991) ranging in size from
600 employees to 4,000 employees in both union and non-union environments.
He had specific responsibility for compensation, benefits and labor relations.
Mike has a Bachelors
of Business Administration from the University of Toledo and a Masters of
Arts (School of Government and Business Administration) from George Washington
University.
Mike is certified
as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and is a licensed health
and life insurance broker. He wrote a chapter (by-lined) in the recently
published book: Stress-free Performance Appraisals by Sharon Armstrong and
Madelyn Appelbaum (2003, Career Press).
